Meet Urkel and Rio, a charming bonded pair of 8-to-9-month-old male budgies seeking their forever family! Urkel is a gentle, sweet, and chatty soul, while Rio is an energetic and vocal character with a big personality. This delightful duo brings so much life and chatter to any room. Though not hand-raised, they are making great progress with their training and have started stepping up for millet inside their cage. They are looking for a patient and loving home that will continue to build their trust and help them thrive. Since they are a bonded pair, they must be adopted together. To make their transition seamless, they will come with a complete setup including their large cage, a playground, toys, and all of their current food. Interested adopters will be required to fill out a brief application to ensure a good match. A small rehoming fee applies.
Urkel is a gentle, smart, sweet, and wonderfully calm little guy who can be a bit tentative at times but is incredibly chatty. Rio has a big personality in a small package; he is highly energetic, beautifully vocal, very food-motivated, and can occasionally be a little bossy and territorial. His lively antics provide endless entertainment. Both boys were not hand-raised but are making fantastic progress with socialization. They have recently started stepping up onto a finger for millet, but currently only do so inside their cage near their perches. Urkel is a bit more trusting, while Rio remains a little more suspicious of human hands.
The pair comes with a complete setup including a large bird cage, a standalone bird playground for out-of-cage playtime, and a variety of toys. Their diet consists of seeds, pellets, and millet. Vitamin D powder is also included with their supplies. Training and bonding should be continued using food motivation, such as offering millet to encourage stepping up on a finger inside their cage.
Both birds are in excellent health.
This is a bonded pair that must be rehomed together. They were not hand-raised and are still learning to trust humans, so they require a patient adopter willing to continue their socialization. Rio can be territorial and bossy at times.
