About Lulu & Pepper - Bonded Budgie Pair

Meet Lulu and Pepper, an inseperable bonded pair of very young budgies seeking a loving home together. Lulu is a sweet, gentle, and calm girl who enjoys a quiet pace, affection, and being spoken to softly. Pepper is her playful, energetic, and curious counterpart, always looking for his next adventure and bringing joy to the home. They are extremely attached, spend nearly all their time together, and rely on each other for comfort. They must be adopted as a pair. The ideal home would be with adopters who can provide plenty of attention, patience, and daily interaction. Previous bird experience is preferred, but dedicated newcomers willing to learn are encouraged to apply. This pair comes with a complete setup, including two cages, food, a travel carrier, a large bird bath, and many enrichment items to get you started.

Temperament

Lulu is sweet, gentle, and calm, enjoying a quieter pace. She loves affection, spending time with her people, enjoys slow mornings, and being spoken to softly. She is affectionate, easygoing, and thrives in a loving, safe environment, warming up quickly to new things despite initial reservation. Pepper is playful, energetic, curious, and adventurous. He loves toys, exploring, and interacting with people and Lulu, bringing joy and entertainment. He is affectionate, social, and enjoys being involved. As a pair, they are extremely attached, spend nearly all their time together, provide comfort to one another, and become distressed when separated.

Care Requirements

Diet consists of quality budgie food, bird-safe treats, broccoli, bell peppers, boiled eggs, and various bird-safe vegetables. Avoid giving avocado, onions, garlic, and human food unless confirmed bird-safe. Requires a weekly full cage cleaning, including washing food/water dishes, perches, toys, and accessories. Provide approximately 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep by covering the cage around 8:00 PM and uncovering around 8:00 AM. Maintain a safe environment free from aerosol sprays, strong chemical cleaners, perfumes, scented candles, incense, or smoke. Comes with their current cage, an additional cage, food, treats, perches, dishes, a travel carrier, a large battery-operated bird bath, cleaning tools, and various accessories.
