About Coco
Meet Coco, a handsome male Jardine’s parrot seeking his forever home! Estimated to be around 20 years old, Coco is in the prime of his life and full of character. He can be very sweet and charming, but also has an independent, moody side, so he needs a family that understands parrot body language and can respect his boundaries. He enjoys a balanced routine, spending quality time both inside his cage and out exploring. Coco would thrive in an experienced, understanding adult home where he is given patience and positive reinforcement. To ensure a smooth transition, Coco comes with his complete setup, including a large dome cage, a travel cage, toys, food, and his favourite sleeping blanket. Anyone interested in welcoming Coco into their family is required to fill out an adoption application first.
Temperament
Coco is a bird with character who can be very sweet, charming, and friendly. He also has an independent, moody side and has occasionally snapped when his boundaries aren't respected. He communicates his moods clearly. He enjoys a healthy balance in his routine, spending quality time both inside his cage and hanging out outside exploring his surroundings. At bedtime, he prefers routine and comfort, and likes his cage fully covered.
Care Requirements
Requires a routine with a balance of time inside and outside his cage for exploration. At bedtime, his cage should be fully covered with his blanket. He will come with his large dome cage, travel cage, a selection of his current toys, remaining food, and his sleeping blanket.
Special Needs
Requires an experienced, understanding home with someone who understands parrot body language and can give him space when he is feeling grumpy. Will do best in an adult home. Prospective adopters must be willing to give him time, patience, and positive reinforcement.
