About Tipsy
Meet Tipsy, a sweet 6-year-old blue female budgie looking for her forever home! Tipsy is a gentle, sociable girl who is a little timid at first but quickly warms up, especially if you offer treats from your hand. Once she's comfortable, she is tame, never bites, and will happily step up. For her age, Tipsy is very active and loves her daily out-of-cage time, where she'll fly to your shoulder and chatter sweetly. Her cage is her safe place, and she comes with her complete setup, including the cage on a rolling stand with perches and toys. She would suit a calm, patient home that will give her time to settle in and enjoy her surroundings. Every interested adopter must submit an application before being considered. A rehoming fee applies.
Temperament
Tipsy is a gentle and sociable budgie who loves interacting with people. She can be a little timid when she first meets someone new, but once she feels comfortable she is tame, never bites, and will happily step onto a hand. The best way to win her over is to offer food from a hand. For a six-year-old, she is still very active. She loves her time out of the cage but never strays far from it, considering it her safe place. She will often sit inside the cage even with the door wide open. When she wants out, she lets you know by tossing the support bar of her drawbridge door onto the floor. She will fly to your shoulder and chatter away, but she does not talk.
Care Requirements
Eats a budgie seed mix. Her favourite treat is broccoli; a small floret clipped into her cage will be eaten right away. She has not taken to lettuce, Brussels sprouts or other greens. Needs daily out-of-cage time. Comes with her cage and rolling stand, which features a drawbridge-style front door, an opening top with a perch, multiple perches, a rope perch, toys, and a storage shelf underneath.
Special Needs
Requires a calm, patient home that gives her time to settle in. Her cage should be maintained as her safe home base, and out-of-cage time should be kept close to it.
