**Rehoming fee of $300 for Meimei** Meimei is a healthy bird who has never had any illnesses. She enjoys sweet fruits and vegetables such as apples, grapes, and sweet potatoes. She also loves pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds as her favorite treats. She has always been a free-roam companion bird and is used to spending most of her day outside of her cage. She loves sitting on your shoulder, stepping up onto your hand, and simply being close to the person she trusts. Meimei is very much a one-person bird. She takes time to warm up to new people, but once she chooses her person, she forms an incredibly strong bond. She becomes extremely affectionate, loves giving kisses, and enjoys spending quality time together every day. She is also a smart and interactive little bird. She can whistle, say a few words, and even says “Mama.” She enjoys communicating with her favorite person and loves being involved in whatever you’re doing. Because Meimei has a strong personality, she can be protective of her cage and may be defensive around strangers at first. She needs a patient and understanding adopter who is willing to let her adjust at her own pace and earn her trust gradually. Once that trust is built, she is an incredibly loyal and loving companion. To help her transition, I will provide two large cages, along with her toys, perches, food bowls, and any remaining food and supplies that she is familiar with. My biggest wish is for Meimei to find her forever home. I would strongly prefer a local adopter so she can settle into a stable environment, and I do not want her to be rehomed or resold in the future. Rehoming Meimei is an incredibly difficult decision for me. I love her deeply, and my only goal is to find a safe, loving, and permanent home where she will be cherished for the rest of her life. Because Meimei means so much to me, I will be selective when choosing her new family. My priority is finding someone who has the time, patience, and commitment to give her the loving, permanent home she deserves.
* Healthy and active * Intelligent and curious * Affectionate with the person she trusts * A true one-person bird * Loves giving kisses * Enjoys sitting on shoulders and stepping up * Free-roam and people-oriented * Can whistle, talk, and say “Mama” * Protective of her cage * Needs patience when meeting new people * Loyal once a bond is formed
Meimei has always been a free-roam companion bird and should continue to have plenty of supervised out-of-cage time every day. She thrives on daily interaction and enjoys spending time with her favorite person. Her diet consists of high-quality pellets as her staple food, along with fresh vegetables and fruit in moderation. She especially enjoys apples, grapes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds as treats. She should have a spacious cage, a variety of safe toys and perches, and regular opportunities for enrichment and exercise. Because she has always lived as a companion bird, she will do best in a home where she receives plenty of attention and companionship.
Meimei has been in excellent health and has never had any major illnesses or injuries. She has never required long-term medication and has maintained a healthy appetite and activity level throughout her life.
Meimei does not have any medical special needs. However, she is a one-person bird and takes time to build trust with new people. She can be protective of her cage and may be defensive around strangers at first. She needs a patient adopter who is willing to let her adjust at her own pace. Like many companion parrots, Meimei may call out when she is left alone because she is looking for her people. When someone is home and spending time with her, she is generally calm and quiet. Once she feels safe and trusts you, she becomes incredibly affectionate and loves giving kisses.
