Adopt a Conure in Vaughan
Pocket clowns — playful, cuddly, and full of mischief.
Conures bring big-parrot personality to Vaughan households — green-cheeked conures are quiet enough for many apartments, while sun and jenday conures are best where a louder bird won't trouble close neighbours. Vaughan adopters are minutes from Toronto's bird scene with the extra space larger parrots appreciate, from Woodbridge to Thornhill.
Whether there's a conure listed in Vaughan today or you join the waitlist for the next one, adopting through Bird Sitting Toronto works the same way everywhere: apply online, chat with our AI screening assistant, and the BST team reviews every application personally. Birds across the GTA are usually only a short drive from Vaughan, so the right conure doesn't have to be listed in your exact city to become yours.

Jonny and Kevin
Conure
Toronto, ON
Jonny and Kevin are absolutely beautiful conures, they're bonded and get along very well most of the time, they occasionally steal each others food but they sleep together and play together quite well. They both have very unique personalities and they each have their own funny quirks. Jonny isn't shy at all and is definitely more outgoing than Kevin, who is much more skeptical and cautious but Kevin isn't shy when it comes to his food dish and can get a little aggressive when hands are coming in his cage at feeding time this only seems to happen when I hold his bowl for to long or my hand hover around it too long But he's young and with the proper care and patience this issue can be resolved. Conures are a lot like gremlins lol if you take proper care of them they remain cute friendly and curious and relatively quiet like a Mogwai but if you don't they become miserable loud and moody like a Gremlin. that being said they do require a lot of work everyday. All birds need at least two hours out of their cage daily but even more time is highly recommended, covering them up in the daytime because you don't like to hear them or because the neighbors can't handle ten minutes of flock calls is a definite no no as they need to be uncovered in the day with plenty of sunlight which I realize is the opposite of a Gremlin but you get my point I'm sure 😊 if you need to go out in the day just leave some music on for them but a general rule is to make sure their needs are met before leaving for work or whatever it is you're doing that day, they both like sitting on my shoulder and on my head Jonny doesn't mind being held but Kevin isn't that into it yet, whenever they land on a new person they like to test the integrity of said persons skin and it's important not to freak out as this will make them want to keep testing it lol they're extremely lovable and very smart they just need a forever home where someone can give them all the time love and attention that they need on a daily basis, they require new toys occasionally as well they like to forage and chew which means Toys don't last forever not most toys anyway. If you're looking for two amazing companions then Jonny and Kevin would like to hear from you!

Where can I adopt a conure in Vaughan?
Right here on the BST Bird Rehoming Portal. We list conures rehomed from real homes across Vaughan and the GTA. If none are available in Vaughan today, join the waitlist with "Conure" as your preference and we'll email you the moment a local match comes up — most GTA birds are only a short drive away.
Are conures cuddly?
Famously so — many conures love burrowing into sleeves, hoods, and blankets and being scratched. Green-cheeked conures in particular are known as some of the snuggliest small parrots.
Which conures are quiet enough for an apartment?
Green-cheeked conures (including pineapple and cinnamon mutations) are usually apartment-friendly. Sun, jenday, and nanday conures are not — their calls carry for blocks.
