About Limi
Limi is a lovely budgie, approximately 1 year and 7 months old. We were told he is male when we purchased him from the pet store. He grew up alongside our family cat, and they have a very special relationship. They are comfortable around each other, and Limi even gently preens her fur with his beak! He is generally a quiet bird, although he sometimes enjoys singing more loudly for short periods. We are looking for a new loving home for Limi because we are moving to a smaller place and unfortunately won't have enough space to give him the comfortable environment he deserves. This is a difficult decision for us, and we hope to find someone who will care for him and give him a happy home.
Temperament
Limi has been comfortable interacting with my teenage daughter. He sometimes allows her to hold and pet him and enjoys walking on her shoulders. However, he may bite if he doesn't want to be handled, so interactions should always be gentle and respectful of his boundaries. His behaviour with younger children is unknown. Due to our busy schedule, we have only been able to let him out of his cage about once a week. When outside, he often prefers exploring the table or floor rather than flying a lot. He is generally quiet but occasionally enjoys singing loudly for short periods. Limi would do well with a patient, caring owner who respects his boundaries and can give him more opportunities to explore and exercise safely outside his cage
Care Requirements
Limi needs a safe, comfortable cage, fresh water, a balanced diet and regular opportunities to exercise outside his cage in a bird-safe environment. He is used to eating budgie seed mix, so any dietary changes should be introduced gradually and patiently. He would benefit from an owner who can help him explore a more varied diet and provide regular social interaction while respecting his boundaries.
Medical History
Limi has never shown any signs of illness or had any known health problems while in our care. We have not noticed anything concerning about his health.
Special Needs
No known special medical needs. Limi currently eats only a seed mix formulated for budgies. We have offered him various fruits and vegetables, but so far he has shown no interest in trying them.

Her cage is her safe place, and she comes with her complete setup, including the cage on a rolling stand with perches and toys. She would suit a calm, patient home that will give her time to settle in and enjoy her surroundings. Every interested adopter must submit an application before being considered. A rehoming fee applies.
