About BabyBat
Meet BabyBat, an 8-year-old male Conure who is incredibly sociable, vocal, and packed with personality! This highly intelligent little guy loves being the center of attention and thrives on human interaction. He understands pointing and basic commands, is accustomed to being handled, and absolutely loves getting head scratches. BabyBat has a wonderful, playful streak and will happily chase blankets and hoodie sleeves. Due to a move, his family can no longer provide the attention he deserves and is seeking a loving, dedicated home for him. He can be protective of his space and 'bitey' inside his cage, so experience with conure behavior is a plus. To ensure a seamless transition, BabyBat comes with his main cage, a travel cage, food, toys, and all supplies. A completed application and a small rehoming fee are required to ensure he finds a serious and committed forever family.
Temperament
Incredibly sociable, vocal, and packed with personality. BabyBat loves being the center of attention and thrives on human interaction. He is highly intelligent, understands pointing, and responds to basic commands including 'yes', 'no', and knowing when it's time to go 'inside the cage'. He is well-accustomed to being handled and loves getting head scratches and pets. He has a wonderful, playful streak and enjoys chasing objects, with blankets and hoodie sleeves being his favorites.
Care Requirements
Requires a lot of attention and human interaction. Needs ample out-of-cage time for play and socialization. Enjoys enrichment activities like chasing objects, such as blankets or hoodie sleeves. Responds to basic commands like 'yes', 'no', and 'inside the cage'. Will be rehomed with his entire setup, including his main cage, a carriage/travel cage, all remaining food, supplies, and his favorite toys. The owner will also provide his veterinary information.
Medical History
Owner will provide complete veterinary information and medical history. He is noted to have a behavioral tendency to get 'bitey' when inside his cage.
Special Needs
Can be protective of his personal space and get 'bitey' when he is inside his cage. His new owners should be prepared to use gloves when handling him inside his enclosure, especially initially. He requires a home that can provide a lot of attention and interaction to thrive.
