Their needs outlast and outsize most households: a 50+ year lifespan, jet-engine calls, and a need for hours of daily engagement. People fall in love with the cuddles and underestimate the rest.
Their calls can exceed 120 dB — comparable to a rock concert. Detached housing and understanding neighbours are realistic prerequisites.
